Superdelegates since Friday

4 supers out of 4.5 went to Obama today (according to DemConWatch). Obama has gotten 8 to Clinton's 2.5 superdelegates since Friday.

The AP has the superdelegate spread at +16 for clinton. Only CNN has Clinton up by more than 20 supers.

Tack on the Pelosi club and by some measures, Clinton's lead in supers is now in single digits.

Re: Superdelegates since Friday (none / 0)

Definitely no drip drip drip for Obama.

....that there sound you're hearings is grinding metal, screaching to a hault. lol

Who are you counting in your totals?  Hmmm?  Because even since Friday she picked up more than that?

Saturday she added from Maryland and today she added from Democrats Abroad.

...now, how do you get a .5  LOL  it must hurt to acknowledge any reality, huh?  lol

by environmentally blue on Mon May 05, 2008 at 07:13:36 PM EST

Re: Superdelegates since Friday (none / 0)

The Democratic Abroad Superdelegate only counts as .5.

And his or her total is largely accurate. Senator Obama is outpacing Senator Clinton in accumulating Superdelegates 3:1.

Most have her lead down to 13.5-15 at the moment.

Re: Superdelegates since Friday (2.00 / 0)

what idiocy.

per Demconwatch:

5-2-08 - Added DNC Jaime Gonzalez Jr. (TX) for Clinton
5-3-08 - Added DNC Brian Colon (NM), new add-on Inez Tenenbaum (SC)#, and new Guam Vice-Chair Jaime Paulino (GU) for Obama
Added new add-on Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (MD)# for Clinton.
5-4-08 - Added DNC Robert Martinez (TX) for Clinton
- Added Parris Glendening (MD)# for Obama.
5-5-08 - Added DNC Kalyn Free (OK) for Obama.
  • Added DNC Theresa Morelli (DA)* for Clinton.
  • Added DNC Michael Cryor (MD) and DNC Lauren Glover (MD) for Obama
  • Added IL add-on Richard Daley (IL)# for Obama. 2 other IL add-ons will be added when we get a valid source.

That's 8 for Obama, and 3.5 for Clinton.  Now, why .5?  Because Democrats Abroad only count for half a vote.

Perhaps if you'd done a little research, you'd know this...

Why can't Hillary close the deal? (2.00 / 1)

Why can't Hillary close the deal with the people who know her best (the national party)?

Especially after her landslide victory in Pennsylvania.

Obama is the one with the "huge" string of 11 primary victories and couldn't close.

Hillary is in the midst of her string of 12 victories in the remaining 13 contests to the convention.

At the end of her string, she'll seal the deal.

Wait for tomorrow chief.

Electabiltiy?? (none / 0)

Electability...Huh?  You mean like having the entire Democratic Machine on your side, starting with a 100+ Superdelegate lead, having the Clinton name recognition as one of the best POTUS in our history, your advisors telling the country it will be finished by Super Tuesday, and you are losing to a 46 year old African American....you mean that kind of "electability"?

Hillary on the other hand IS closing the deal......as you have witnessed in all her wins since early March.

She lies to you.

She fools you with phony gas tax holidays

She fools you with revisionism toward her irresponsibility in the lead up to war

And you take it.  And you call her President Hillary.  It's unbelievable to me that you all call us the "cult."  I think Obama is a politician.  I think he's a good one (as far as a politician can be) but he's just a politician.  And he won't solve my problems.  That will take me, and you, and him, and congress, and state governments, and on and on.  We are the change we've been waiting for.  So no, I don't agree that President Clinton will be able to do much.  Except maybe tell us more lies.

Obama now has a 9 delegate lead if you count Michigan and Florida and do not give him Michigan's 55 uncommitted.

I keep saying Mi and FL will be sat as soon as the super's pledge.  Looks like that will hold true.

Obama will wrap up the uncommitted superdelegates by June, and be able to seat MI and FL as is without them changing the results.  Everyone will be happy.  Certain people will look very goofy for their hyperbole the past couple months (like posting pictures of the US flag missing two stars, stuff like that).
